Bug Description

Binary package hint: notification-daemon

Updating to latest packages, desktop icons seem to lose theme (they all look like a sheet-of-paper icon). Then gnome-panel closes and restarts.
After update is complete, I log out then back in, and receive ~30 crash reports of various Gnome bits:
mixer-applet2
evolution-alarm-notify
trash-applet
gnome-panel

etc.

Look like another bug due to gtk-qt-engine, do you have it installed? Does it happen without it?

I have gtk2-engines-gtk-qt package installed.

This seems to be more related to changing themes than to upgrading a package - for example, switching quickly from one theme to several others will cause many gnome things to crash all at once.

I have duplicated this three times now, most recently after a clean install of 6.10
