Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate a useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

libbamf3-0 version 0.2.118-0ubuntu2~webapps12 required, but 0.2.118-0ubuntu0.2 is available
outdated debug symbol package for dpkg: package version 1.16.1.2ubuntu7 dbgsym version 1.16.0.3ubuntu5.1
package unity-webapps-service does not exist, ignoring
bamfdaemon version 0.2.118-0ubuntu2~webapps12 required, but 0.2.118-0ubuntu0.2 is available
package libunity-webapps0 does not exist, ignoring
indicator-appmenu version 12.10.0-0ubuntu2~webapps1 required, but 0.3.97-0ubuntu1 is available

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!

The reason retrace failed is because the webapp packages are in a PPA. This results in a weird scenario in which we need to wait for someone ELSE to either reproduce this bug (hence making it Confirmed), or you can debug the indicator-appmenu yourselves by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingAyatana , which would give us an understanding of the issue.

In many cases, this bug seems similar to bug #1028175 , what were you doing at the time of the crash?
