Bug Description
[Dell Vostro 360]: Cannot install ubuntu in default (non-text) mode due to dim display.
Problem:
Whether you boot from a usb key, PXE, or CD-ROM, the default ubuntu installation menus, choices and overall installation setup steps cannot be seen.
You can tell that the installation is happening due to infrequent screen flickers that illuminate the display just enough to see the menus.
This does not happen with 10.04 and 10.10. 11.04 and 11.10 have the same display issue when installing.
The test was done with a default 12.04 LTS Kernel 3.2.0.23.
Using the brightness controls on the side of the all-in-one desktop do not adjust the brightness level during the install.
