Split chunks not valid after spliting

I jsut split a PST file from my Outlook the size of 1.6GB, but after spliting it and trying to import the split files in my Evolution mail client, the file format is not supported. Please advise. Thanks.

Did you merge all the split files before trying to import it?
What algorithm fo splitting did you use?

Thanks for getting back. Yes and no. I tried importing both the unmerged and merged files but in vain. I used Generic split algorithm.

If you still have the original file try to find the MD5 sum of the file and compare it to the MD5 sum of the reconstitued file. If they match then the problem doesn't come from GNOME Split. If the MD5 sums are different that's a bug.
To merge the split files manually you can do "cat file1 file2 file3 > file". That should also work to merge files if you have used the generic algorithm.
