lo-menubar does not enable to select language in Writer with menu bar

Selecting tools>Language>For all text/selection/paragraph will not show the arrow allowing to select the language. The only way to select the text language is then to go to "Tools>options>Language settings..." everytime, which is very annoying when you type documents in different languages.
