Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.15
I have a Xterasys XN-2524G wireless card in my desktop computer which registers in Ubuntu Desktop version as: Texas Instruments ACX 111 54Mbps Wireless Interface
When trying to run Ubuntu Server 6.10 I get the error:
Starting up ...
firmware_
for device '/class/
firmware_
6' for device '/class/
looking in /lib/firmware, there is no acx directory. Looking in /lib/firmware/
so I archived the /lib/firmware/
Then I created /lib/firmware/acx and /lib/firmware/
then I copied the files as follows: cp /lib/firmware/
then rebooted, and it works great now
Thanks for your bug report. d-modules package. Does server edition install it by default?
/lib/firmware/acx/ directory and some (maybe all) files in that directory belongs to linux-restricte
This bug is for pakage linux-source-2.6.15 which is not used in 6.10 Edgy Eft.
