synaptic fails to run as root

i just installed parted-doc and qtparted using synaptic.
then i closed the synaptic window and got:

>Failed to run /usr/sbin/synaptic as user root:
>Unterprozess endete mit dem Status 75

opening synaptic again now and quitting without problems.

now trying to run qtparted it says:

error:
entry could not be started
Details: Kindprozess »/usr/sbin/su-to-root« konnte nicht ausgeführt werden
(Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden)
meaning childprocess could not be executed (file or dir not found)

I fixed the qtparted problem with the upload of qtparted-0.4.4-3ubuntu1. but I
have no idea about the:

this looks like a message from gksudo to me ...
