Bug Description

When using pdftocairo 0.20.x from http://packages.ubuntu.com/quantal/poppler-utils , embedded custom encoded Helvetica fonts are not carried over from original to new PDFs: it gets substituted as NimbusSanL . Using pdftocairo 0.18.4 with libcairo 1.12, the error remains; restoring libcairo 1.10 reverts the error.

Thank you for your bug report, is there any chance that you could report the issue upstream to http://bugs.freedesktop.org?

Reported upstream as requested. Also should note that I was able to compile poppler-tools 0.20.2 on Ubuntu 12.04, using its libcairo 1.10, and not encounter the font error described above. Also noticed that libcairo is up to 1.12.2 now: its entirely possible its unaffected by the bug in 1.12
