Bug Description

If a user habitually uses the "search/replace" tab on the "Edit Meta information" window, they have to click on it to get there.

Persisting this decision would be mainly inobtrusive whilst simplifying workflow.

It would not be unobtrusive for someone who uses the search and replace
infrequently. And note that if you intend to reuse the dialog, click
apply instead of OK. That way you only have to change if you are
changing the set of books you are operating on.

It is inherently inobtrusive if you regularly use just one tab (either tab). Once you've switched back to your usual tab, that it becomes the default again. This would be a rare occurence, whereas regular users of the "search/replace" tab *always* have the extra step of selecting a tab.

Frequently changing the selected set is precisely when this become a problem :) One extra click is only a problem under repetitive use scenarios.
