File and Help menu missing in f-spot menubar

Bug Description
Binary package hint: f-spot
for at least a number of versions, f-spot does not show the file menu, making it impossible to import photos.
So, the menubar shows

<empty space> View Find Tags
=======
Ie, FIle and Help are mssing. I am using the latest f-spot (f-spot_
on Feisty/AMD64.

ah, this was due to an old libglade being installed; worksforme now. this bug can be closed
