vala toys plugin gedit crashed with SIGSEGV in __find_specmb()

Bug Description

Happens all the time.
Running 12.10 quantal
gedit 3.4.2

It occurs when opening a vala file. Other files are ok.
The problem is the vala toys plugin, I think. If it disable that, the file will open.

I have plugins:

spell checker
sort
session saver
character map
