Bug Description
Backing to a VFAT detachable file system. Need to set "Split backup archives into several chunks" option but that function is greyed out. Perhaps a manual workaround to set in a config file?

Thank you for using sbackup and reporting this issue.
I guess your described behaviour is actually not a bug rather a limitation of the underlying TAR command: it is not possible to use compression and to split snapshots at the same time.
Can you please check whether it works as expected when setting compression to 'None'. (I've noted that it is often not necessary to compress snapshots at all since most modern file format as mp3, pdf, odt, jpeg etc. are already compressed)
Thank you in advance.
