Hi I have done days of trouble shooting and may have altered the root files by mistake, new to ubuntu and my HP tx1000 has many other issues apart from this (eg monitor out not working, touch pad not working etc) at this stage all I want is to get the mic working to use skype, thanks in advance Dean
