Bug Description

gnome-session-properties is a really useful GUI and I don't think it breaks the HIG. It seems Ubuntu have removed its .desktop file, relocating it to the indicator that we patched links out of. So it's can only be launched via command line. This would make it available via slingshot.

Oh cool, I never knew it's available at all in GNOME3.

IMO it fits more in Switchboard, but its plug could be a L+1 item.

agree with Andrea that if we want to do something like this, it should be a plug not a .desktop.

Now Switchboard supports external launchers (thanks tom95) so I added a launcher for gnome-session-properties in the gnomecc plugs package.

I just started working on a startup apps plug, but I guess it would make more sense to join forces. Here's the code:

It got an editor pane similarly to this mockup: http://ottorobba.deviantart.com/art/Start-Up-Applications-Plug-255411293

I'm going on vacation now for about 2 weeks, so feel free to use some of my code if you want.

Fixed the plug to run on Isis and redesigned it, dropping some useless features. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

This has been packaged, built in the PPA and added with the other plugs in the metapackages. So this is complete for OS AFAICT.

If it works in the Isis, this entire bug is complete. If it does not, there's a problem with either the packaging or the source.
