got a nautilus crash then tried to report, but got an apport crash instead. Looking inside that crash, i get:

     from gi.repository import GObject, GLib, Wnck, GdkX11, Gdk

Same issue with the new apport 2.3-0ubuntu2

of course when looking at "wnck" inside synaptic, none of the related packages is installed; i suppose that apport should depend on one of them.

feedback after installing gir1.2-wnck-3.0

with that package installed, apport can be loaded and report crash about itself (see details of initial issue: Bug #1022587 )

fixed with the coming:

apport (2.3-0ubuntu4) quantal; urgency=low

  * debian/control: Add gir1.2-wnck-3.0 dependency for apport-gtk, needed by
    the new --hanging feature.
  * Merge from trunk:
    - test_python_crashes.py: Fix race condition in timeout test.
