Bug Description

(This was originally reported against ubuntu as bug #102068 before I tried using the medibuntu Kaffeine distribution and decided it should be reported here)

Before upgrading from edgy to feisty beta, Kaffeine played DVDs. After upgrading, I cannot play DVDs anymore. I'm getting "xine: couldn't find demux for >dvd:///dev/hda<" errors. Thinking that libdvdcss2 might be corrupted, I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Still getting the same error. The Kaffeine I had was the one installed with the OS - not the medibuntu distribution of the package.

So I decided to upgrade using the medibunto versions. I upgraded Kaffeine, Kaffeine-xine, libdvdcss2, etc but l am still getting the same error.

Hi,

Thanks for your bug report.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to reproduce your issue (Kubuntu feisty amd64). Both kaffeine 0.8.3-0ubuntu7+medibuntu1 and 0.8.3-0ubuntu7 works fine here.
Moreover, our kaffeine package is based on Ubuntu one, the only difference is that aac/mp4 support is enabled, ,which doesn't affect dvd playback iirc. Therefore I am marking it as duplicate of Bug #102068.
