Well, for just one time in hundreds of tests, I've seen the plymouth (in low resolution graphic) and then the ubiquity-DM window.
Is it a race ?

Fabio I was testing the daily Ubuntu Desktop amd64 and encountered what I believe is the same as this bug. Anyway, I tried with a persistent USB went directly into the Ubunut scroll and then into a dead dark screen no cursor. I then tried a USB created with the dd command and it booted in the same manner. Then, I typed "s" right after my bios screen and I got the selections to choose language and try or install.

Xubuntu Desktop amd64 has the same issue, and typing "s" after bios screen works as well. Lubuntu does not seem to have the issue.
