Jockey is not showing descriptions for any driver in Ubuntu Quantal 12.10 in a VM. See attached screenshot.

No, it's a different issue: Jockey does find installed drivers in my case. The GUI just looks wired because text is white and no description for drivers (installed or not) is shown.

That bug was fixed, but this one wasn't!

Please take a look at my screenshot. No descriptions for any driver are readable because the text is white and not black like it should be.

For example, Virtual Box Guest Additions contain the following description: "VirtualBox is a free x86 virtualization solution allowing a wide rangeof x86 operating systems such as Windows, DOS, BSD or Linux to run on aLinux system.

This package provides the source code for the virtualbox guest addition kernelmodules to be build with dkms. Kernel sources or headers are required tocompile these modules."

This is present in Jockey but cannot be read because font color is white not black.

Jockey has been superseded by software-properties, which now handles
third-party driver configuration.
