Bug Description

Newscoop is a web publishing system that can bring your newspaper or magazine content to the online world. It is often used by media organizations who also have a printed version of their publication, and enables them to increase their revenues with online subscriptions and ads. There are many systems that might seem similar to Campsite, but it is the only open-source system designed to work in the same style of newspapers and magazines - for example, with multiple journalists, editor review, issue publishing, and subscription management.

Developers of Campsite are currently working hard to get a new version of Campsite released. Campsite 3.0 will be a complete rewrite of the engine, which means no compiling is needed anymore. I would you try to package the new version, although it's not officially released yet (currently 3.0-beta3). http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=66936&package_id=65091

When is this version going to be released? Isn't it better to pack the current version and later the new one (after it has been released)?

Thanks,

What is this make.env in the makefile? I just can't pack it because of it. I'm gettig the following error message (I'm talking about the 2.6.9 version):

make[1]: *** No rule to make target `make.env'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/buildd/campsite-2.6.9'
make: *** [build-stamp] Error 2
pbuilder: Failed autobuilding of package

I've followed these instructions, but i keep getting this error message when compiling the source:

make[1]: *** No rule to make target `make.env'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/buildd/campsite-2.6.9'
make: *** [build-stamp] Error 2
pbuilder: Failed autobuilding of package

It seems that it is the first line on the upstream Makefile which is causing it.
