Bug Description

Please backport networkmanagement 0.9.0.3-0ubuntu2 (universe) from quantal to precise.

Reason for the backport:
========================
Because precise is LTS release I think it is very important to have bug-free network management. Newest release of plasma nm has some important fixes. Please backport it to precise as SRU (if it is possible) or make it available in backports ppa.

Version in repositories is: 0.9.0.1

Newest version with important fixes: 0.9.0.3

Thank you.

Testing:
========
Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s quantal -d precise networkmanagement

* precise:
[ ] Package builds without modification
[ ] plasma-widget-networkmanagement-dbg installs cleanly and runs
[ ] plasma-widget-networkmanagement installs cleanly and runs
[ ] network-manager-kde installs cleanly and runs

Reverse dependencies:
=====================
The following reverse-dependencies need to be tested against the new version of networkmanagement. For reverse-build-dependencies (-Indep), please test that the package still builds against the new networkmanagement. For reverse-dependencies, please test that the version of the package currently in the release still works with the new networkmanagement installed. Reverse- Recommends, Suggests, and Enhances don't need to be tested, and are listed for completeness-sake.

Can you please mark off the tests done in the updated description? Also, there's a requestbackport tool in ubuntu-dev-tools which shows you the testing required for these backports.

@jr: Since this bug says it affects "Precise Backports," would it be possible to have this merged into ~kubuntu-ppa backports for Precise as well? I'm running ~kubuntu-ppa backports for precise, up to date, and dpkg is still telling me this:

ii plasma-widget-networkmanagement 0.9.0.1-0ubuntu2 Network Management widget for KDE Plasma workspaces

I'd file a separate bug, but since this bug already said affects "Precise Backports" I didn't think that to be the correct course of action. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Can we have the newest version 0.9.0.4 in kubuntu updates ppa?

In newest blog plasma nm developer asks: "Please (K)Ubuntu users, upgrade your systems to the newest packages before reporting bugs that has already been fixed."

It seems that plasma nm is still quite buggy.

Well, that's great if someone knows about the kubuntu-ppa, or is willing to backports.

And in my case, I'm using backports, which is KDE 4.9, but the network manager plasmoid is the old on, pre-0.9.3, which, while in the kubuntu-ppa updates, has not yet been put in kubuntu-ppa backports.
