Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

I am sharing a Firefox profile on a FAT32 partition between Windows XP and
LINUX!
The problems are the following:

1. I boot into UBUNTU Feisty and launch Firefox where AUTOSCROOLING OPTION
is TICKED in FF 'preferences'. Then I close FF and reboot to WIndows XP where I
also launch Firefox and the 'autoscrooling option' is still 'ticked. But when I
reboot back to UBUNTU from Windows and open FF the 'autoscrooling option' gets
unticked.

I've tried it with a clean profile an also on a friends computer. He has Win2k3 and UBUNTU DAPPER-GNOME
and the same problem ocures when he was sharing the profile on a FAT32
partition.

The solution for this is to create 'user.js' and put this line in:
----------
user_pref("general.autoScroll", true);
----------
My question is why is this happening, why do some settings get changed in Linux?

Hello ashrack,

Thank you for the bug report, so the problem occurs when you are transferring settings from Windows to Ubuntu? But the changes made from Ubuntu to Windows work correctly?

Can you check to see if the option is set in the prefs.js file when exiting Windows? (I believe it should be prefs.js)

Thanks again, Alex.
