package ttf-root-installer (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 4

system booting time inscreased and never login into user login window. i had tried to install ttf font utilies for suppoting government website fonts. this happened after installation of update using update mangaer and restart captioned in system window. after this incident it did not respond sfter selecting ubuntu 10.04 at the grub loader and it appears to be black screen for long period.( >20 mins).
