taskbar colors sometimes wrong when using gnome classic

Bug Description
Running 12.04 with Gnome Classic (rather than Unity).
I've noticed than the bottom taskbar colours are wrong (screenshot "taskbar_bad.png").
However, if you repeatedly minimise / restore a window, they eventually sort themselves out (screenshot "taskbar_
But on the next click, the colours go wrong again.
I've tested with with both the Ambience and Adwaita themes, and it occurs in both.
