Bug Description
While running an autolanding build for dbus-test-runner, I found that the generic-dput job failed at the point of "Committing the previous merge", will attach log.
Here are parameters from the build:

This was a permission problem. Unfortunately the bzr errors are quite cryptic so there is not much we can do to make these errors more obvious. I at least added an error message which suggests you should check permissions.
