Bug Description

While running crawl, I get the following messages:

$ crawl
Lua error: /usr/share/crawl/dat/des/sprint/sprint_mu.des:11: Can't find "clua/sprint.lua"
Lua error: /usr/share/crawl/dat/des/tutorial/tutorial_lesson2.des:6: Can't find "clua/tutorial.lua"
Lua error: /usr/share/crawl/dat/des/portals/ziggurat.des:8: Can't find "clua/ziggurat.lua"
Unable to generate level for 'Sewer'!

The first three appear every time I run crawl and have no obvious negative effects. But when I advanced a character sufficiently to reach the Sewer portal level, specifically when I entered the portal, I received a large number of error messages about an inability to generate "megabat"s, and the game exited. The same occurs when I attempt to resume the saved game.

Perhaps there is some version mismatch between the lua and the compiled code?
