Bug Description

Hi,

Im not sure exactly that this bug is due to Gnome-shell, but it is my best guess up to now.

Since my upgrade, my system has always been entirely in French. From what I've seen in the settings of Gnome-shell it was possible to add `secondary' languages and I've thus added English and German to my system as secondary languages. It has worked for months without any problem.
Since some weeks, some of the components of my systems abrutly switched to german without any observable reason. These was minor things so I didn't reported them: gcc and bzr output was switched from French to German.

Ths evening, I've just launched my system today and I was really surprise to see it entirely in German, even suggesting me (in German) to change the name of by `Desktop' directory from French `Bureau' to German `Arbeitsfläche'. This is quite annoying… Chrome even suggested to translate every page I see in English or French to German!
I've thus tried to remove German from all language settings of Gnome-shell, but I cannot in all of them! The menu where it refuses it is in `Tasten' (I guess it would be `Shortcuts' or `Keys' in English), in the tab `Sprache' (`Language').

This may be linked to new settings I've tried today with xmodmap to configure some keys in my system. Anyway it is the only thing I've changed since this bug I think… And this configuration just breaks my keyboard by the way. I only made `xmodmap -pke > .Xmodmap' and changed this file if that can help.

I'm afraid these information won't help you many: do not hesitate to asked me for any additionnal information!

Thanks by advance,
Martin.

I'm afraid I don't understand what did happen, but after a switch off and on of my computer, it's been all re-set to French…
My keyboard is still broken (but not inside terminal though!), but this is not due to Gnome-shell. ☺

I'm sorry about the mess it may lead to… I'm afraid I won't ever understand how my system work ^^

Cheers,
Martin.
