Seems like a regression. gnome-menus shipped with Precise but doesn't seem to be on the Quantal ISO.

I already have gnome-menus installed but I still have a white indicator-message, indicator-sound and indicator-network. But, switching to Adwaita and switching back to Ambiance fixes the issue momentarily. Logging out and back in gives me the white indicators again.

@bilal: gnome-menus is a library to parse .desktop trees, it has no UI element, how can a theming bug be in that lib?

I guess this, and bug 1019631 that Doug mentions, are both the same issue as bug 1018022. That one has someone assigned and working on it, so I'll dupe these there. There may be other unmarked dupes; I'll try to keep an eye out.
