Bug Description

I have many files on which I cannot start a single extension. I attach one of those, that I stripped down to two simple shapes.
Note that these files were created with older versions of inkscape. And if I create a file with this version of inkscape, it doesn't seem to be crashing. I can even copy/paste the shapes in the file in attachment in a new file, and it won't crash anymore.

As extensions I tried: Colour->darker, Colour->brighter, Render->LaTeX formula

Version used: Inkscape 0.48.3.1 r9886 (package in debian testing)
OS: Debian testing

As a comparison, I also attach a file that contains the exact same shapes, but that doesn't make inkscape crash when launching extensions.
