Bug Description

hi,

since libdrm 2.6.33, experimental support for OMAP DRM has been merged upstream, so we now need to update the packaging in ubuntu to build this -omap package. that basically should require to enable "--enable-omap-experimental-api" in the makefile and add "libdrm-omap1" in the control file.

thx

note that migrating to 2.6.35 or potentially the upcoming 2.6.36 would be much better from an OMAP perspectives.

/me thinks ndec meant 2.4.35 or 2.4.36 ;-)

the next release (presumably 2.4.36) will add the new libdrm API's that I'll need when I merge xrandr rotation support in xf86-video-omap

omapdrm has been enabled in Debian (and synced to Ubuntu), and discussions are ongoing with X maintainers about the safety of updating libdrm to newer versions (seems there was some recent nvidia breakage again, or something)

2.6.34 and newer libdrm will require mesa 8.1 (because of the libdrm-nouveau changes), which wont be releasing until august but it will be brought in in that time frame.
