Bug Description

I was running the Nathan Muench ppa of Calibre successfully until the upgrade to Quantal. I tried downgrading the version to the 12.10 version but nothing changed. It just hangs and uses 100% of my duel core processors.

Christopher - marked as a dupe of my bug - to test
open a terminal, copy & paste this command & run

LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 calibre

If calibre behaves correctly then the duping was proper

Note that the latest upstream calibre (0.8) works fine as it provides it's own qt4 libs

The above works for me. I have made a launch script:
LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0
calibre

and am using this as a workaround until the fix happens.

Sorry - the script line above should read "LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 calibre" - my mistake.

I installed openlp - a new item in the repositories and it is subject to the same bug. I've attached a screenshot of its dependencies in the hope that there is something in common.

Still having issues with this. I was able to run hp-sendfax with the LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 (caps are vital) but with the following messages from the terminal.
