Bug Description

Volume hot keys work under Xubuntu DE but not XFCE. Clicking on Sound Settings under XFCE does nothing. Sound settings seem to be missing under XFCE but working under vanilla Xubuntu DE. The slider that resides in system tray still works with mouse, however the bubble notification slider summoned with +/- hotkeys is greyed out & does not work.

Actually, although it goes through the motions under XFCE DE, the actual volume level does not rise & fall. The GUI will show volume increasing/decreasing but volume can only be controlled from system tray left click.

So, basically, volume hot keys do not work under XFCE or Xubuntu environment.
