Old style export needs to be phased out.

We need to think about disabling the old style xml export in some future
version, so that we can phase out the old xml structure entirely. As long as we
allow people to export like this, we're gonna have to support the import as
well. I suggest leaving the import in, and removing the export, then removing
the import one major version later.

One detail: exporting with the new style xml export doesn't work across Silva
versions, wheras the old style does. E.g. from Silva 1.2 to Silva 1.4, which I
just did.

The new style export *should* work across versions (at least forward), so when
it doesn't that can be considered a bug. Could you add a bug report to the issue
tracker?

There's nothing fundamental in the new style system that should make moving
content forward harder than in the old style; in fact you'd expect the reserve.

Updated this to urgent and Silva-1.6 and made the whole crew nosy. Basically, we
waited too long with this, and it has now become unclear, at least in my mind,
what needs to be taken out, and, even more worrying, whether there still aren't
parts of the old export active in the UI. For Oce I have to go through some of
this code and look up stuff anyway. I'll try to leave comments everywhere I
think changes are needed, so that we can tackle them in one go.

Downgraded to 'wish' as I had forgotten that docma makes use of this. Once ODF
export is in plcae maybe?
