Bug Description
While installing xubuntu 12.04 from a USB stick using the desktop-ISO (64bit) and UNetbootin the installation failed near the end with a notice about apt not being able to function correctly (I don't remember the exact error/warning message)

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates.
