Bug Description

As far as I understand, Wingpanel uses the class .gnome-panel-menu-bar

But this makes it impossible to have different styles for gnome-panel-menu-bar and wingpanel. For example, light gnome-panel, but dark and semitransparent wingpanel.

It is necessary to have a different class than .gnome-panel-menu-bar to support easy theming. In the current scenario, most themes don't define a separate style for wingpanel. Since wingpanel uses the style for .gnome-panel-menu-bar, it looks ugly and the text becomes unreadable if the background is light.

I'm gonna confirm this. It's a bit dishonest to steal the class ".gnome-panel-menubar"

The LXDE team seems to be using the class "Panel" which seems more appropriate if we wanted to adopt a standard panel class.
