mate-indicator-applet appmenu for GTK3 doesn't hide local menus under MATE.

Bug Description

Basically, it seems like either mate-settings-demon's Xsettings manager or mate-indicator-applet's AppMenu doesn't properly update the gtk-shell-shows-menubar property when the Appmenu applet is loaded. This causes any GTK3 programs to show both the local and global menus in MATE.

Currently, this can be hacked around by creating $HOME/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini containing these lines:
[Settings]
gtk-shell-shows-menubar = 1

But it would be nice to have a proper fix.
