Bug Description

Periodically, after the system detect an internal error, and is preparing an "error report to help fix the problem", I get an error message from Apport which states:

"Since development is complete for the 'precise' version of Ubuntu, you should probably use its technical support channels instead of this tool."

See attached screenshot.

I am not sure what the system is trying to tell me as it detected the internal error and it is preparing the error report. What exactly is it trying to tell me I am doing wrong?

In the most recent case, Compiz crashed.

By default, it presumes you are not an experienced user ("I don't know what to do", as seen on your screenshot).

BTW, starting with Ubuntu 12.04, apport crash reporting is enabled in stable releases, but (by default) it reports crashes to the crashdb, not launchpad, look at: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+question/198015

I still don't quite follows what the workflow is supposed to be here. The system detects a crash. The system asks for permission to send an error report to help fix the problem.. and then the system tells me I should be using technical support channels "instead of this tool".

If the system wants me to use technical support channels instead of the tool, why did it pop up the "Crash Report" dialog in the first place?

I think there is a bug in the "Crash Report" process.
