Show checkmarks in HUD for items such as Nautils' "Show Hidden Files"

Some menu items have ON/OFF toggle states with checkmarks.

Nautilus, for example, has "View Hidden FIles" (See HUD-Checkmark-1.png)

It would be nice if the HUD would show the state of the toggle. It currently does not.

This issue is sort of solved in Ubuntu 13.04

"View Hidden FIles" is no longer an option in the Files menu. The option was moved into the UI, triggered by clicking a down arrow; is no longer accessible via HUD.

"View Hidden Files" cannot be the only toggle option in Ubuntu. What about other programs like libreoffice? I don't have Ubuntu 13.04 so I can't check, but I'm sure that the view menu of libreoffice Writer has several toggle options.

Yes, I'm sure there are other toggles. I agree with you ciaolo.

That said, my test case in the original report will not be useful anymore since this problem no longer exists as described, and I cannot find another toggle option to describe the problem accurately.
