gedit hangs when opening files with very long lines

Opening the attached file using gedit 3.4.1 causes gedit to hang. The file opens correclty using medit and LibreOffice Calc.

This file comes from a data logger that uses fixed length files, padding the unused area at the end of the file with null characters.

Confirming issue by opening sample file in gedit 3.30.2-1 in Ubuntu 19.04 (dev). For the record sample file opened successfully in Sublime Text, nano and vim. Issue needs to be reported upstream.
