Sorry to be so late testing, spring and summer are just hectic times of the year for me. I wonder if we wouldn't be wise to just address this in the release notes since I discovered this so late?

Same thing in the Ubuntu test. Both had been fresh installs of Precise, the Lubuntu install just moments before testing the upgrade path and the Ubuntu install had been done on 2012-04-23 and then updated.

Both had all updates applied before testing, including the required reboot :^)

I'm pretty sure this is because supported = 0 in the following file:

Actually if you installed from precise I bet /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades has the following:

Prompt=lts

if you change lts to normal it'll show you the upgrade option.

You're right. Then I only had to disable the extras repos.

Should I just mark this invalid?

I honestly thought using the "-d -c" suffix the update manager would ignore software sources settings, even if set to "never" ;^/
