Bug Description

The Bazaar branch lp:~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu/hardy/apport/ubuntu is actually a branch of 'hal', not of 'apport' !

Whoops! I should have logged out of the package importer's identity and logged in as myself before filing this :-)

I've assigned this bug to Martin Pitt, because as the creator and last committer to the branch in question, he's best placed to figure out what to do.

What are my options to do something about this? I can certainly remove all current files from lp:ubuntu/hardy/apport, download the current hardy apport source, add them to the branch, and push --overwrite. But that would neither have any history, nor be compatible with the UDD branch format. Isn't it possible to just delete the branch and have the package importer re-import it again?

It would be best to just delete the lp:~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu/hardy/apport/ubuntu completely, if the revisions stored in it are also in a proper hal branch somewhere else.

apport isn't using imported branches at all currently - it's a weird special case because it makes use of merging from upstream's Bazaar branch directly, and the importer cannot (currently?) do that.

Fair enough. I deleted the hardy branch then.
