Can't bring rhythmbox to front using sound indicator

Bug Description

When I select rhythmbox from the sound indicator, often it does not take the window to the front. Instead, the rhythmbox icon on the launcher is shaking and "glows".

Restarting rhythmbox fixes this for some time.
I'm not sure how to trigger it but I'm happy to stacktrace something if that helps.

This appears to be related to the way applications are raised from indicator. The same happens to me (in 14.04) for Rhythmbox and Empathy.

This is still an issue in 14.04 LTS. Not a huge problem perhaps, but in the age of iOS, Android, Mac OSX and Windows 8, it's one of the little bugs that makes Ubuntu a less than smooth user experience. I hope someone works on it.
