A little more detail from me:

Running Mint 13 Mate 32-bit on an HP Pavilion dv9910us. When I hover my mouse over the battery indicator, when something is charging (whether it's the battery or my iPhone), the notice is double-lined. What I mean is that it says, "Cell phone charging (80%)" or "Laptop battery etc" twice, one on top of the other. It also does this when the laptop is unplugged: it'll show "Laptop Battery is Discharging" twice.

Hi,

I can confirm this. Running Mint 13 Mate 64-bit.
Hovering over the battery indicator shows the battery status twice.

Same here, I am running linux mint 13 64bit on a thinkpad x200. and mine showes two battery when my laptop comes back from resume. ... I am not sure what log files one would need to have access to to figure out what the bug is, but please let me know.
looking around the internet it seems that this bug was on ubuntu a hardy and a few other editions. could be a kernel or a gnome/mate bug. not sure

I encountered the same problem on Linux Mint 14 32-bit, on a Samsung N150 netbook. The problem only arose after the netbook came back from resume, no problem otherwise.

Linux Mint 13 Maya 64-bit, on Lenovo Thinkpad T430. This bug is present about 97% of the time. It also affects secondary devices plugged into my computer: my cell phone's battery is also displayed twice, for example.
