Setting a song as "Play Next" does not play that song as the next one

Steps:

1. create a playlist.
2. Play a song
3. Right click on any song that is not the next in list. For ex, 1st song in the list is being played. Right click on 5th song, and select "Play Next".
4. the next song in the list is played. In the above ex, 2nd song will be played and not the 5th one.

I hope my understanding of "Play next" functionality is correct. If not, please tell what its functionality is.
