Applications disappear from App launcher

Some applications disappear from the app-launcher of unity while running.

One application where I have this problem very often is with NetBeans. I do web development with NetBeans and I have to switch between Firefox and NetBeans a lot. But as soon as NetBeans is in the background, its icon disappears from the app launcher.

Today I noticed how to work around this problem: Just pin the application to the launcher and it won't disappear. This is not nice but it works for now...

Which version of Unity are you running, and on which version of Ubuntu?

I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 64Bit with Unity 5.12.0

Ubuntu is running on the Kernel 3.3.6 because of the following bug but I don't think that this is related to my problem:

Yes, it seems that this is the same bug. As the other users point out, it does not only happen with NetBeans.
