Gateway laptop (3 yrs old) dual boot. Error occurred during update to 11.04 xubuntu onto an update 10.10 of a 10.04 new install, as I recall. The 10.10 update may have been done incorrectly, that is, updating it with ubuntu, not xubuntu.
