Bug Description

I believe I have found a packaging bug for either wine or google earth. Since there is no ubuntu-hosted copy of google-earth (the official docs say to use google's .deb) I am filing this under wine.

=== What Happened ===
I should be able to install both google-earth and wine in ubuntu (I was able to with 11.10 and Fedora).
However when I try to install wine, it tries to REMOVE google earth.

=== Steps to Reproduce ===
I followed the installation instructions for installing google earth on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GoogleEarth#Installing_the_.deb_file_downloaded_from_the_Google_Earth_Website then followed the attempted to install wine using the software center and got a message stating that it would require the removal of:
-alien
-debhelper
-gettext
-google-earth-stable
-intltool-debian
-lsb-core
-po-debconf

I then attempted to install it via "sudo apt-get install wine" and got the same error. I have attached the output of that terminal session.

This is on a *fresh* install (not an upgrade) of Precise that is only a week old.

It appears that they can both be installed if they are installed in the opposite order.

1) Install google-earth (may not be required, but I already had it)
2) Install wine (it will remove google-earth)
3) Re-install google-earth

Interrestingly enough, step 3 did NOT remove wine! I now have both installed, but I still feel there is a bug here somewhere's because it shouldn't matter in which what order they are installed.

All these packages eventually depend on gettext. Please see bug #954029.

Directly depending packages: intltool-debian po-debconf. These are both arch: all and should not be causing the problem directly (they depend on native-arch version of gettext). It is most likely due to wine1.4-i386 recommends of gettext, which actually means gettext:i386 and this is the relationship causing trouble.
