Bug Description

"Could not initialise the package information

An unresolvable problem occurred while initialising the package information.

Please report this bug for the 'update-manager' package and try to include the following error message:

'W:Duplicate sources.list entry http://ppa.launchpad.net/cairo-dock-team/ppa/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/ppa.launchpad.net_cairo-dock-team_ppa_ubuntu_dists_precise_main_binary-amd64_Packages), W:Duplicate sources.list entry http://ppa.launchpad.net/cairo-dock-team/ppa/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/ppa.launchpad.net_cairo-dock-team_ppa_ubuntu_dists_precise_main_binary-i386_Packages), E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/pkg.exodusviewer.com_x86_._en, E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.' "

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your bug report it seems that you are experiencing bug 346386. This issue happens when you have tried to update your package information when you are a network that didn't return the right files. This issue can be cleaned up by using the following commands in a terminal:

1.) sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/*
2.) sudo apt-get update
