Bug Description

For a while now (at least the two most recent updates to the ppa) pogo has been crashing on me while changing songs. It usually happens a few times throughout the day. I finally starting running pogo from command line. I checked to see if there's a dev version in the ppa as I figured that would have more helpful output but didn't see it.

Would be happy to provide any more information you like!

Hey it happened again but there was more useful output this time!

I'll just include the last line because everything else looked the same:

Assertion 'pthread_mutex_destroy(&m->mutex) == 0' failed at pulsecore/mutex-posix.c:81, function pa_mutex_free(). Aborting.
Aborted (core dumped)

Thanks for the report. Which OS and version are you using? It seems the
bug may have been fixed for more recent versions of the underlying audio
libraries.

I'm using lubuntu 12.04 but with pulseaudio (lubuntu just has alsa.) My system is up to date as far as official ubuntu repos but maybe the fix hasn't made it in yet?

Hmm, I don't know. I would recommend using a player that doesn't crash in the meantime ;)

Please update this report when you have more information.

Well still spitting these same two errors pretty regularly. There hasn't much in the way of updates though. I tried doing dpkg-reconfigure pulseaudio but didn't help. I guess I just need to wait for an update to pulseaudio or something?

There are two errors that happen (one or the other), both happen when changing songs.

Error 1:
Assertion 'pthread_mutex_destroy(&m->mutex) == 0' failed at pulsecore/mutex-posix.c:81, function pa_mutex_free(). Aborting.
Aborted (core dumped)

Error 2:
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Not sure what other information would be useful?

And maybe I'm being paranoid but I swear they happen more if I don't run it from terminal :D

I guess you could report that problem to the pulseaudio bug tracker.
They will tell you what additional information they need. Please update
this bug here if you find out anything.
