Bug Description
The missing symlink isn't the only install problem for the package - it also tries to use a non-existent directory.

Please close this as INVALID. I just tested on a VM and could not recreate the issue.
Looking closer, my issue was probably due to an installation of Octave that had been compiled from source and was resident in /usr/local/bin.
