Bug Description
Running the HP Toolbox on my12.04, 32 bit installation is painful. It takes several minutes to load the two devices; actually on as it's an OfficeJet with fax support. Once loaded, changing to another tab also results in a long wait .
I have the 64 bit version of 12.04 running on another partition and the toolbox is working fine with no delays at all.
Please let me know if there's a command I can run on the 64 bit version for comparison.

Can you try the CUPS package in -proposed following the instructions in bug 992982, comment #43 and if this also does not work the package from my PPA as described in bug 973270, comment #21. These packages fix several bugs in CUPS, not only the ones referenced here.
If this still does not work, please follow the instructions of the sections "CUPS error_log" on https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/DebuggingPr intingProblems. Also attach /var/log/syslog. Thanks.
